San Francisco's Hunter Pence (hamstring) heading to the disabled list
San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence (hamstring) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, Giants' manager Bruce Bochy said.
Pence strained his right hamstring in the fourth inning of Wednesday's loss and will be undergoing an MRI on Thursday morning. Bochy said this current hamstring strain is similar to the one which kept the outfielder out of action for five games at the end of May. There is no guarantee Pence will be fully healthy when his requisite 15 days are up. Jarrett Parker figures to see the majority of at-bats in his absence.
Pence played in just 52 games last season, and he's dealing with injuries again in 2016. He's produced when he's been on the field, posting a .377 wOBA with seven bombs this season.
