Boston's Jackie Bradley placed on paternity leave list

The Boston Red Sox placed outfielder Jackie Bradley on the paternity leave list.

What It Means:

Bradley can remain on the paternity leave list for 24-to-72 hours. Rusney Castillo will replace him on the active roster.

Bradley has been one of baseball's best hitters this season, slashing .331/.409/.601 with nine home runs, three stolen bases, and a .423 wOBA -- that ranks fifth-best -- in 203 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to slow down over the remaining course of the season, hitting .255/.336/.452 with 13 home runs, five steals, and a .340 wOBA.
