George Springer leading off for Blue Jays on Opening Day
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day.
Springer will start in right field on Thursday and bat first versus right-hander Miles Mikolas and the Cardinals on Opening Day. Daulton Varsho and Kevin Kiermaier will join Springer in the outfield, with Alejandro Kirk behind the plate and Brandon Belt in the designated hitter role. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Whit Merrifield, Bo Bichette, and Matt Chapman start in the infield.
