Hunter Pence still has chance to return to Giants on Friday
San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence (hamstring) could still return to the Giants lineup on Friday, manager Bruce Bochy said.
Pence will test out his hamstring in the outfield and on the bases before Friday's game. Even if he doesn't make his way into the lineup, it sounds as though he's close and should return in the next day or two.
Pence has posted a .375 wOBA in 188 plate appearances while sending seven pitches out of the park and recording 33 RBI's on the year. He's hitting .292/.378/.484 for the season. Our models currently project the 33-year-old to hit .268/.344/.445 with 14 more home runs, six more steals and a .339 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
