Shane Victorino does not plan on retiring
Shane Victorino is not planning on retiring, per Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish.
Victorino was released from his minor league contract with the Cubs on Monday after batting .233/.324/.367 through nine games with Triple-A Iowa. The 35-year-old is looking for another opportunity, but interest figures to be limited at this stage of his career.
Victorino slashed .230/.308/.292 in 178 at bats last season with the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels in 2015. His wOBA was just .271 last year.
