Alex Gordon (wrist) placed on Royals' 15-day disabled list
Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a broken scaphoid bone in his right wrist.
Gordon suffered the injury in a collision with teammate Mike Moustakas on Sunday and is expected to miss three-to-four weeks. Cheslor Cuthbert has returned to replace him on the active roster while Jarrod Dyson and Paulo Orlando figure to get regular starts in the outfield in the short-term.
Gordon has posted a .298 wOBA with four home runs, 10 RBI's and three stolen bases in 166 plate appearances this season. He's hitting .211/.319/.331 on the year.
