Hanley Ramirez is out for Red Sox early game of doubleheader
Boston Red Sox first baseman/left fielder Hanley Ramirez is out of the starting lineup in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Travis Shaw will start at first base, and Josh Rutledge will play third versus Kansas City Royals' righty Ian Kennedy. Ramirez will likely start the night game versus Edinson Volquez. Brock Holt is also sitting out the first game Wednesday, with Chris Young starting in left field.
Ramirez is hitting .320/.370/.476 across 162 plate appearances. He's posted a .370 wOBA while logging four homers, 23 RBI's and four stolen bases on the year.
