Giants leave Luis Gonzalez off of Sunday lineup
The San Francisco Giants did not include Luis Gonzalez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
What It Means:
Gonzalez will take a seat Sunday while Brandon Belt joins the lineup at first base and bats fourth. LaMonte Wade Jr. will take over for Gonzalez in right field and Tommy La Stella will move from first base to designated hitter.
Gonzalez started the season off strong, but has been going through a rough patch in August. Our models project him for 2 home runs, 15 runs, 11 RBI, and 3 more stolen bases over 120 more plate appearances this season.
