Royals' Nate Eaton sitting in Game 1 Tuesday

Kansas City Royals outfielder Nate Eaton is not in the starting lineup against right-hander Lance Lynn and the Chicago White Sox in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader.

What It Means:

Eaton will take a seat for the first game while Kyle Isbel moves to right field and MJ Melendez shifts out to left. Salvador Perez will catch for Brady Singer while Vinnie Pasquantino starts at designated hitter and bats cleanup.

Pasquantino has a $6,000 salary on the single-game slate and numberFire’s models project him for 9.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals’ implied total (3.78) is 19th in the majors on Tuesday and Lynn has the second-best walk rate (4.3%) among the projected starters.
