Sandy Leon making Twins debut Wednesday afternoon
Minnesota Twins catcher Sandy Leon is in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Tyler Alexander and the Detroit Tigers.
The Twins acquired Leon from the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday to provide some catching depth behind Gary Sanchez while Ryan Jeffers is shelved with a thumb injury. Leon will catch for Joe Ryan and hit eighth on Wednesday afternoon.
Leon has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 6.3 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins' implied total (4.93) is fifth-highest in the majors on Wednesday.
