Sam Haggerty (forehead) returns to Mariners' lineup Wednesday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Sam Haggerty (forehead) is back in the starting lineup again for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Gerrit Cole and the New York Yankees.
Haggerty was held out of the last three lineups, but he went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and a pair of runs scored on Tuesday as a pinch-hitter. On Wednesday afternoon, Haggerty will start in right field and hit ninth. Adam Frazier will shift to second base while Abraham Toro takes a seat.
Haggerty has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 7.8 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners' implied total (3.14) is fourth-lowest in the majors on Wednesday.
