Brett Lawrie homers in third straight contest as White Sox win
Chicago White Sox infielder Brett Lawrie hit a solo home run in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles, the third consecutive game in which he has gone deep.
Lawrie smacked a solo home run off the soon-to-be-demolished Ubaldo Jimenez in the fourth inning. The tater was his fourth of the season. Three of the four dingers came in this weekend's series against the Orioles.
In addition to that quartet of blasts, he has driven in 10 runs, scored 15 and hit to a triple-slash of .290/.377/.505. The 26-year-old second baseman has a chance to surpass the career-best 16 homers he launched in 2015. In fact, our rest-of-season projections peg him to post a .314 wOBA with 14 more homers this season.
