Jose Ramirez sitting for Guardians Sunday
The Cleveland Guardians did not list Jose Ramirez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the New York Yankees.
What It Means:
Ramirez will catch a breather Sunday while the Guardians bring Steven Kwan back into the lineup in right field. Kwan will bat leadoff and Franmil Reyes will take over at designated hitter.
Ramirez has been struggling with a thumb injury over the past couple of weeks, but is still in the midst of a strong season. He's batting .292 with a .966 OPS through 318 plate appearances, with 16 home runs, 46 runs, 63 RBI, and 12 stolen bases.
