Brewers place Willy Adames (ankle) on 10-day IL
The Milwaukee Brewers placed infielder Willy Adames on the 10-day injured list with a high left ankle sprain.
The move is retroactive to May 16, meaning Adames will be eligible to return on May 26. The Brewers recalled infielder Keston Hiura from Triple-A Nashville to replace Adames on the roster. Luis Urias is expected to be the everyday shortstop while Adames is out. Jace Peterson and Michael Brosseau figure to split work on the hot corner.
Adames is averaging 11.4 FanDuel points per game this season and slashing .208/.304/.462 with 9 homers and 24 RBI over 148 plate appearances (35 games).
