Chas McCormick sitting for Astros Monday
The Houston Astros did not list Chas McCormick as a starter for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
McCormick will take the evening off while Michael Brantley takes over in left field, and Yordan Alvarez rejoins the starting lineup as the designated hitter and bats fourth.
McCormick has made 26 plate appearances this season and has landed 8 hits in those appearances, good for a .320 batting average. He has yet to hit a home run after launching 14 last season, but our rest-of-season projections have him slated for 15 over the course of the season.
