Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka will start Tuesday
New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka will get an extra day of rest before making his next scheduled start on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Tanaka was scheduled to face the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night before rain washed away their series finale. With the new arrangement, he'll get two starts this week, also toeing the slab on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners.
Our 2016 projections for Tanaka read: 3.84 ERA, 1.83 WHIP, 22.5 strikeout percentage and 5.6 walk percentage. Entering his third season in the bigs, Tanaka has been good when he's been healthy, posting xFIP's of 2.58 and 3.29 in his first two years.
