Jose Abreu (illness) uncertain for White Sox Thursday afternoon
Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (illness) is going through pregame warmups for ALDS Game 1 on Thursday against right-hander Lance McCullers and the Houston Astros.
The White Sox will determine Abreu's status after seeing how he feels. White Sox manager Tony La Russa said he has two different lineups prepared for Thursday's matchup, depending on Abreu's availability.
numberFire's models project Abreu for 10.5 FanDuel points in Game 1 and he has a $3,700 salary on Thursday's slate. He slashed .261/.351/.481 with 30 homers and 117 RBI over 152 games (659 plate appearances) in the regular season. McCullers registered a 27.0 strikeout percentage and an 11.1 walk percentage during the regular season.
