Blue Jays place Breyvic Valera on COVID-19 list
The Toronto Blue Jays are placing infielder Breyvic Valera on the COVID-19 list.
Valera is going through contact tracing after he had a family member contract the virus. He's fully vaccinated and has tested negative so far. Jake Lamb is replacing Valera on third base and batting seventh in Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Luis Patino and the Tampa Bay Rays.
numberFire’s models project Lamb for 8.3 FanDuel points and he has a $2,400 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Blue Jays have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Pation is registering a 22.5 strikeout percentage and a 9.1 walk percentage this season, with a 4.46 xERA and a .321 xwOBA.
