Royals' Edward Olivares out of lineup Thursday
Kansas City Royals outfielder Edward Olivares is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander John Means and the Baltimore Orioles.
Olivares is receiving a breather after starting the last four games. Hanser Alberto is entering the lineup to play third base and bat eighth. Adalberto Mondesi is shifting to the designated hitter role and batting sixth. Michael Taylor is moving out to center field in place of Olivares.
numberFire’s models project Alberto for 8.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Means is registering a 22.9 strikeout percentage and a 4.4 walk percentage (top 4% of the league) this season, with a 3.90 xERA and a .302 xwOBA.
