David Peralta on Diamondbacks' bench Friday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Tyler Anderson and the Seattle Mariners.
The left-handed hitting Peralta is taking a seat against the Mariners' southpaw. Stuart Fairchild, who the Diamondbacks recalled from Triple-A Reno on Wednesday, is replacing Peralta in left field and hitting eighth.
numberFire’s models project Fairchild for 4.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks have an implied total of 4.4 runs. Peralta is registering a 19.4 strikeout percentage and a 4.9 walk percentage (top 6% of the league) this season, with a 4.17 xERA and a .312 xwOBA.
