Odubel Herrera held out of Phillies' Tuesday lineup

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.

What It Means:

The lefty-hitting Herrera is heading to the bench against Washington's southpaw. Freddy Galvis is moving into the leadoff role while Jorge Bonifacio replaces Herrera in center field and hits fifth.

numberFire’s models project Galvis for 11.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Tuesday’s slate, currently making him our top overall point-per-dollar value among active hitters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Phillies have an implied total of 4.4 runs. Corbin is registering an 18.6 strikeout percentage and a 7.3 walk percentage this season, with a 5.88 xERA and a .363 xwOBA, the latter two of which both rank in the bottom 7% of the league.
