Tyler O'Neill (back) returning to Cardinals' lineup Friday
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (back) is returning to the starting lineup for Friday's game against left-hander Dillon Peters and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
O'Neill was held out of the previous three lineups with a stiff back. He is returning to bat third and play left field in place of an idle Lars Nootbaar. Dylan Carlson is dropping three spots to bat sixth.
numberFire’s models project O'Neill for 13.4 FanDuel points and he has a $3,200 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals have an implied total of 4.6 runs. Through 9 2/3 innings this season, Peters is registering a 14.3 strikeout percentage and a 9.5 walk percentage this season, with a 4.76 xERA and a .331 xwOBA.
