Maikel Franco finding seat Monday for Orioles
Baltimore Orioles infielder Maikel Franco is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Collin McHugh and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Franco is finding a seat after going hitless in each of the last two games. Ramon Urias is shifting to the hot corner in place of Franco and hitting sixth. Jorge Mateo is moving to second base and batting seventh. Richie Martin is entering the lineup to play shortstop and hit ninth.
numberFire’s models project Martin for 5.8 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Monday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Orioles have an implied total of 3.3 runs, the second-lowest in the majors on Monday. McHugh is registering a 37.0 strikeout percentage (top 3% of the league) and an 8.1 walk percentage (top 9%) this season, with an xERA (1.93) and xwOBA (.214) that both rank in the top 1% of the league.
