Pat Valaika riding pine Wednesday for Orioles
Baltimore Orioles infielder Pat Valaika is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against right-hander Jameson Taillon and the New York Yankees.
Valaika is taking a seat after starting the last five games. His playing time could take a hit down the stretch with Richie Martin now back from the 60-day injured list. Ramon Urias is moving to second base in place of Valaika on Wednesday while Martin makes his return to the lineup to play shortstop and hit ninth.
numberFire’s models project Martin for 7.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday. Urias ($2,400) is projected for 11.0 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Orioles have an implied total of 3.5 runs, the fifth-lowest in the majors on Wednesday.
