Michael Conforto on Mets' bench Monday
New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins.
Conforto, who is 0-for-13 with a walk and 6 strikeouts across his last five appearances, is out of the lineup for the second time in the past three games. Kevin Pillar is shifting to right field on Monday while Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) returns to center field and the leadoff role. Jeff McNeil is hitting third after leading off last game.
numberFire’s models project Nimmo for 11.3 FanDuel points and he has a $2,700 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Luzardo's wOBA (.388) ranks in the bottom three percent of the league this season.
