Eric Hosmer held out of Padres' lineup Wednesday
San Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's interleague game against left-hander Sean Manaea and the Oakland Athletics.
Hosmer is grabbing a seat versus the Athletics' left-hander as Jake Cronenworth shifts over to first base and the fifth spot in the order. Adam Frazier is covering second out of the leadoff spot while Tommy Pham mans left field and hits cleanup. Wil Myers (hamstring) is returning to the lineup to start in right and bat sixth.
numberFire’s models project Cronenworth for 11.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Padres have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Manaea is registering a 26.5 strikeout percentage with a 5.8 walk percentage this season.
