Blake Snell (illness) scratched Friday, placed on Padres' 10-day IL; Reiss Knehr to start
San Diego Padres pitcher Blake Snell has been placed on the 10-day injured list with an illness.
The move is retroactive to July 6th, so the former Cy Young winner should be in line to return to the team right out of the All-Star Break. In his place, Padres' No. 13 prospect Reiss Knehr will make the start against the Colorado Rockies.
In 16 starts this season, Snell has a 3-3 record with a 4.99 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 93 strikeouts and 44 walks across 70.3 innings pitched.
