Miguel Cabrera (calf) sidelined for Detroit in Wednesday matinee
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (calf) is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against right-hander John Gant and the St. Louis Cardinals due to flu-like symptoms
Cabrera exited early Tuesday night with right calf tightness. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch indicated that Cabrera could be available to pinch-hit in Wednesday's matinee. Jonathan Schoop will cover first base and Willi Castro will be on second. Eric Haase will bat cleanup as the Tigers' designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Schoop for 10.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 4.4 runs.
