Nick Solak sitting for Rangers Monday night
Texas Rangers second baseman Nick Solak is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Frankie Montas and the Oakland Athletics.
Solak will take a seat after starting the last six games. Andy Ibanez, who was promoted from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, will replace Solak on second base and hit sixth. Solak could lose playing time to Ibanez moving forward if he continues to struggle at the plate.
Solak is slashing .193/.233/.211 in June. He is averaging 8.9 FanDuel points per start for the season but just 5.7 over the last 15 days.
