Buster Posey riding pine for Giants against Arizona
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Zac Gallen and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
What It Means:
Posey is only playing about two-thirds of the Giants' games at this point in his career but he's slashing an impressive .337/.411/.586 with 12 homers through 190 plate appearances. Curt Casali will catch Kevin Gausman on Thursday and bat sixth. Donovan Solano has been bumped up to the second spot in the order.
