Javier Baez (thumb) back for Cubs Tuesday
Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander Taijuan Walker and the New York Mets.
Baez will return to shortstop and bat third after sitting out the past couple games with a sore thumb. He is 3-for-32 with 15 strikeouts in the month of June. Sergio Alcantara will shift to second base in place of Eric Sogard.
