Yusei Kikuchi (back) expected to be fine for Mariners
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi was pulled from Monday's start due to cramping in his lower back, per manager Scott Servais.
Servais added that Kikuchi is expected to be fine. The left-hander allowed one run on four hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts over six innings before leaving. It sounds like Kikuchi will be available for his next turn in the rotation this weekend at home versus the Texas Rangers.
Kikuchi scored 34.0 FanDuel points on Monday and he is averaging 33.4 FanDuel points per game for the season (nine starts). His 25.0 strikeout percentage ranks in the 56th percentile among qualified starters while his xWOBA (.288) is in the sub-40th percentile.
