Javier Baez back at shortstop Thursday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez is back in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Joe Ross and the Washington Nationals.
Baez was held out of Wednesday's lineup but he did provide a pinch-hit home run. He will bat third in Thursday's matinee and return to shortstop in place of Eric Sogard. Ian Happ will hit cleanup after batting third on Wednesday.
