Phillies' Jean Segura put on 10-day IL with quad strain
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right quad.
Segura suffered the injury on Tuesday night. Brad Miller will make the start on second base for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Anthony DeSclafani and the San Francisco Giants. He replaced Segura on Tuesday and launched a three-run home run. Rhys Hoskins will return to the lineup on second base and bat second.
DeSclafani is registering a 22.9 percent strikeout rate and 5.7 percent walk rate this season.
