Josh Bell making season debut Monday for Reds
The Washington Nationals activated first baseman Josh Bell from the 10-day injured list.
The Nationals activated Bell, Kyle Schwarber, and Josh Harrison after they each missed the start of the season due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the clubhouse. Bell will replace Ryan Zimmerman on first base and in the cleanup spot for Monday's series opener against right-hander John Gant and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bell has a FanDuel salary of $2,500 on Monday's slate. The Nationals-Cardinals game will be played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, which is the fourth-least favorable stadium for hitters on Monday, per numberFire's MLB Heat Map.
