Pirates' Gregory Polanco sitting Monday
Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder Gregory Polanco is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Yu Darvish and the San Diego Padres.
Polanco appears to be getting a breather after striking out three times on Sunday. Phillip Evans will move to right field and Erik Gonzalez will start on third base and bat fifth. Kevin Newman has been moved down to the eighth spot in the order.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Pirates currently have the second-lowest implied total (3.3 runs) out of the 26 teams playing Monday.
