Shogo Akiyama leading off for Reds in Game 2 on Thursday
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shogo Akiyama is in the leadoff spot for Game 2 of the Wild Card Round on Thursday afternoon versus right-hander Ian Anderson and the Atlanta Braves.
Akiyama will man left field and bat leadoff in his postseason debut. Nick Senzel will drop to seventh after going 2-for-4 with a strikeout as the Reds' leadoff man in Wednesday's Game 1 loss. Cincinnati's full Game 2 lineup: Akiyama LF, Nick Castellanos RF, Joey Votto 1B, Eugenio Suarez 3B, Mike Moustakas 2B, Jesse Winker DH, Senzel CF, Freddy Galvis SS, Tucker Barnhart C. Luis Castillo will be on the mound.
