Indians place Cesar Hernandez on paternity list
The Cleveland Indians placed second baseman Cesar Hernandez on the paternity list.
What It Means:
The Indians recalled infielder Yu Chang from their alternate training site in a corresponding roster move. Hernandez will be away from the team for anywhere from 24-72 hours. Mike Freeman will cover the No. 2 spot and second base for Cleveland on Tuesday against right-hander Yu Darvish and the Chicago Cubs.
