Padres' Eric Hosmer diagnosed with fractured left index finger
San Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer suffered a fractured left index finger during Monday's game against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Hosmer will reportedly be able to return before the end of this regular season after suffering a fractured finger while attempting a bunt. Expect Mitch Moreland to see more at-bats and playing time at first base.
In 118 at-bats this season, Hosmer is hitting .288 with 8 home runs and 32 RBI.
