Padres acquire Greg Allen in nine-player deal
The San Diego Padres acquired outfielder Greg Allen from the Cleveland Indians in a multi-player deal for Mike Clevinger.
Allen joined Clevinger in the blockbuster acquisition of the right-hander. The 27-year-old is under control through the 2024 season. He's a switch hitter with speed and has experience across all three outfield spots.
Allen averaged 6.6 FanDuel points in 15 games for the Padres this season. He's gone just 4-for-25 (.160) with 9 strikeouts this season and is a career .239/.295/.344 hitter in the bigs.
