Blue Jays acquire Robbie Ray from Diamondbacks

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired starting pitcher Robbie Ray from the Arizona Diamondbacks for left-hander Travis Bergen.

What It Means:

Ray is scheduled to become a free agent at the end of the season and the Diamondbacks didn't intend to bring him back. The 28-year-old left-hander owns an awful 7.84 ERA over 31 innings (seven starts) with a five-year low 27.9 strikeout percentage. Bergen worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in one appearance for Toronto this season.

Ray averaged 21.0 FanDuel points in seven starts for the Diamondbacks this season.
