Padres acquire Trevor Rosenthal in trade with Royals
The San Diego Padres have acquired pitcher Trevor Rosenthal in a trade with the Kansas City Royals.
Rosenthal will join the Padres with outfielder Edward Olivares and a player to be named later heading the other way to Kansas City. The 30-year-old right-hander made the All-Star game back in 2015 and has recorded 128 saves in his eight-year career.
Rosenthal has recorded a 3.29 ERA and 1.17 WHIP so far this season with 7 saves, 21 strikeouts, and 7 walks in 13 2/3 innings pitched.
