Rays' Yonny Chirinos (elbow) ruled out for 2020 season
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Yonny Chirinos will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the rest of the 2020 season.
What It Means:
Chirinos is also expected to miss all of the 2021 season as he recovers from surgery. He pitched 11.3 innings for Tampa this season before being forced onto the injured list.
Chirinos will end the season with a 2.38 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, 10 strikeouts, and 4 walks in 11 1/3 innings pitched.
