Chad Pinder sitting Sunday for Oakland
The Oakland Athletics did not include Chad Pinder in their Sunday lineup against the Houston Astros.
What It Means:
Pinder and teammate Tony Kemp have been switching in and out when facing left- and right-handed pitchers, respectively. As the Astros are expected to start right-hander Cristian Javier Sunday, Tony Kemp got the nod over Pinder and will bat eighth.
Pinder is projected to make 55 more plate appearances this summer, with 2 home runs, 6 runs, 7 RBI and a 0.275 batting average.
