Padres list Abraham Almonte as designated hitter for Monday
The San Diego Padres have listed Abraham Almonte as their starter at designated hitter for Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Almonte, a switch-hitter, will make his 2020 debut against Dodgers right-hander Walker Beuhler. With Almonte batting as the designated hitter, Manny Machado will move to third base, and Greg Garcia will sit out.
