Padres' Eric Hosmer (illness) scratched Saturday; Ty France taking over at first base
San Diego Padres infielder Eric Hosmer has been scratched from the lineup Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Hosmer was originally slated to start at first base and bat fifth in the lineup, but he has been removed due to a "non-COVID-19 illness." Whatever the ailment is, we wish him the best. Ty France will take over at first base.
In four plate appearances this season, Hosmer has a .750 batting average and a 2.000 OPS.
