Cesar Hernandez leading off for Indians to start season
Cleveland Indians second baseman Cesar Hernandez is batting leadoff against left-hander Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals.
Francisco Lindor has been the Indians' leadoff man in recent years but he's starting out the season in the three-hole to better showcase his power. Hernandez signed a one-year deal with the Indians in December. The Indians' full Opening Day lineup: Hernandez 2B, Jose Ramirez 3B, Lindor SS, Carlos Santana 1B, Franmil Reyes DH, Jordan Luplow LF, Domingo Santana RF, Roberto Perez C, Oscar Mercado CF. Shane Bieber is the starting pitcher.
numberFire's models expect Hernandez to score 9.2 FanDuel points in his Indians debut. He's priced at $2,500.
