Zach Plesac makes Indians' opening rotation

Cleveland Indians pitcher Zach Plesac earned the last spot in the starting rotation.

What It Means:

Plesac will be preceded by Shane Bieber, Mike Clevinger, Carlos Carrasco, and Aaron Civale in the Indians' rotation. Adam Plutko will work out of the bullpen. Plesac posted a solid 3.81 ERA over 115.2 innings pitched in his 2019 rookie season.

numberFire's models project the 25-year-old right-hander to record a 4.65 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 36 strikeouts and 16 walks over 46 2/3 innings this season.
