Diamondbacks name Archie Bradley their closer
The Arizona Diamondbacks named Archie Bradley as the closer Saturday.
It was assumed that Bradley would resume the closer role in 2020 when the team did not bring in any real competition in free agency, but the team confirmed this expectation Saturday.
Bradley caught on strong towards the end of the 2019 season, putting up a solid 18 saves and a nice 1.60 ERA from July through September. numberFire projects him for a 3.93 ERA in 2020 with 30 strikeouts, 10 walks, and 2 home runs allowed.
