Astros' Ryan Pressly has finger blister
Houston Astros reliever Ryan Pressly has a blister on his right index finger but is expected to return to intrasquad play on Saturday.
The blister prevented Pressly from being able to pitch in the Astros' intrasquad game Tuesday. It's unclear if the right-handed setup man will be ready for Opening Day on July 24 against the Seattle Mariners, but his return to play on Saturday is an encouraging sign. Pressly posted a career-high 2.32 ERA and career-high 0.90 WHIP with 72 strikeouts and 12 walks over 54 1/3 innings last season.
numberFire's models expect Pressly to record a 3.13 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 31 strikeouts and 6 walks across 23 innings this season.
